Filler: What it's Really Like to Get Injected at MVMS

Despite the popularity of fillers, there is still a lot of confusion about what they actually are, who they're made for, how much they cost, and ultimately: what's the point?!

What's the Point?

Fillers clearly are not everyone's cup of tea, but many people do have a fascination or curiosity regarding them. Fillers often get a bad reputation and tend to be called "fake" or are way too big and unnatural looking. Just the word "filler" can have you thinking about Hollywood and celebrities that are known to have them. Were you thinking of a Kardashian/Jenner? No? Me neither....

BUT, it doesn't always have to be this way. At MVMS, we destroy this stigma surrounding fillers. Yes, facial and lip fillers can add plump and largeness if desired, but we also like to enhance the beautiful, existing features that you already have. Enhancing your features instead of completely changing them makes filler look natural, and people won't even be able to tell you had anything done!

Most importantly, you have the right to choose! If adding a little filler will make you feel more confident, get the da*n filler!!! Always choose to do what makes you feel more confident and happy!

What are Fillers Made of?

Today's fillers (Juvederm and Restylane) are much more sophisticated than they have ever been. This is because they are made with Hyaluronic Acid (HA), which is a substance that is naturally found and produced in the body. You have probably heard of Hyaluronic Acid, and may even be using a skin product that has HA in it. HA is a super unique beauty ingredient because it can actually hold 1,000 times its own weight in water! When used as a topical on the skin, HA can't penetrate deep into the inner layers of the skin. This is what separates the HA filler injectables.

Who Are Good Candidates for Fillers?

Anyone who is looking to accentuate and enhance their facial features make good candidates for fillers. Fillers are not just used for lips- they can also be used to plump out wrinkled skin, remove the lines around the mouth, and add volume to the cheekbones. Fillers are also great for those who may have any asymmetry in the face or lips. At MVMS, we can use that filler to even out, and make the face more uniform.

*Filler should not be done while pregnant or breastfeeding*

How Much $$?

Obviously, the price of filler differs based on how much product you choose to get, but here are the base prices per syringe:

Half Syringe: $400

Full Syringe: $650

Cheeks: $800

Nasolabial Folds: $650
